Who’s behind The Stitch Coven?
The Stitch Coven was founded in 2025 by two kindred spirits, Dianne and Martha. Sharing a passion for fiber arts and community, they set out to create a place that could nourish and enrich their fellow fiber artists. They source luscious yarns and high quality tools, collaborate with fellow fiber artists and provide illuminating classes.
Dianne (she/her/hers)
A lifelong lover of yarn, Dianne began crocheting at the age of five and discovered knitting over 20 years ago—and never looked back. Though she works across fiber mediums, knitting remains her deepest passion, a place where color and texture come together in endlessly inspiring ways.
She’s drawn to the interplay of materials, often creating art with other people’s art—whether it’s collaborating on community projects, working with hand-dyed yarns, or breathing new life into vintage patterns. For her, fiber arts are more than a craft; they are a form of connection, creativity, and care.
She also believes deeply in the cognitive power of making by hand. To her, knitting and fiber arts are not just joyful—they’re essential for brain development and keeping the mind vibrant and engaged.
Whether she’s stitching solo or with a circle of makers, she’s always looking for beauty in the loop between hands and heart.
Martha (she/her/hers)
Martha has been knitting and crocheting since 2004 when she caught the fiber arts bug and never recovered. She loves to push herself to learn new techniques and finds great satisfaction in creating wonderful pieces.
She is grateful for the community the fiber arts have always given her. She has lived all over the world but never been lonely thanks to the various knitting groups she’s started or joined in every new place.
Martha has a great deal of experience in the industry having worked as a design consultant for Rowan Yarns and as a sales assistant in various yarn stores. She also has 10 years’ teaching experience from another field with a teaching certificate to boot. She has given many a workshop and knitted samples for various knitting books and shop displays. She has also designed and sold her own knits and patterns. She is so excited to share this knowledge and experience, and the joy of knitting and crochet, with you!
